Fall Happenings

Fall Happenings

It’s been a whirlwind fall for me with so much going on!  The Doll Dress Boutique book blog tour continues through tomorrow and the Doll Dress Boutique Launch Party ended last week.

Be sure to see this post for the 411 and see what others are saying about Doll Dress Boutique.

I could not have wished for a better Launch Party. The members of our facebook group are absolutely the best. It’s such a supportive group of seamstresses and the participation level was through the roof 🙂 Just look at a few of the dresses these amazing women sewed using Doll Dress Boutique.

I had raffle drawings last week and this week for the Grand Prize: An American Girl Doll, and the runner up prizes of $25 gift certificates to American Girl Doll. Congratulations to the winners: Jan Elizabeth, Kathy, Ann, Linda, and Peggy!

Last weekend I did a book signing in Portland at the Mill End Store and it was fun to chat with so many wonderful people. I gave an American Girl Doll, Julie Albright, to Mill End store to giveaway. At the event the sweetest little girl was shopping with her mother. I saw her peeking periodically over the bolts of fabrics about 5-10 feet away.

After several sightings, I could see she was interested. She didn’t approach the doll until I encouraged her. She agreed to fill out a raffle ticket after my coaxing. Would you believe it? She was the winner of a Julie Albright doll!! In the photo Mill end sent me she looked over the moon! I’m so happy for her 🙂

Look at the clever wall hanging Tammy from Tamarini sewed for the blog tour! Wouldn’t this be adorable in a little girl’s room or a sewing room?

Want to make some sweet dresses for a little girl’s doll? Doll Clothes are wonderful gifts to give. They are more special than store-bought and encourage dramatic play! You can purchase Doll Dress Boutique in my Etsy shop or the C&T website.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for another bonus pattern tutorial!
