Doll Days events

The Doll Days blog tour is moving quite nicely. Yesterday, I posted a tutorial on   C&T Pub blog    for how to trace your patterns and preserve the originals, so they stay just like new. I also did a sew along and posted a bonus pattern for this dress and its bow. Get the free sewing pattern and tutorial  here.

If you have kids who want to learn to sew…you may be interested in getting them involved in the Sew in Style Sew and Share event. It’s just getting started and it’s a great way to motivate kids to keep sewing by seeing what others are sewing and have a place to show off their creations! It also has free fabric and prizes! So kids  you’d better get stitchin’!

Here’s a picture that was shared by Yonda on the facebook page- her daughters made purses and they are adorable!! The curved edges on the purse project can be tricky and you girls did a fantastic job sewing them.

That’s the great thing about doll clothes– not only is it something kids want to sew, but they are excellent for teaching sewing to kids. They don’t take a long time to complete, nor do they take a lot of fabric. Kids can develop their skills while making fun things to play with. Most of the projects in Sew in Style are designed to be quick and fun– simplified for kids, to have their best chance at sewing success!

Happy Sewing!
