Youth Beginning Sewing
Learn to sew with a sewing machine: how to thread a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, basic sewing techniques, and make some fun projects. Machine, sewing supplies, and project kits are provided.
Students will complete a Seams and Samples Workbook, through which they will learn all the basic sewing skills needed to sew many beginning projects. The workbook becomes a handy reference book for sewing at home, which will foster independence in their sewing.
We will also complete 2-4 sewing projects together, as students develop a firm foundation in sewing.

Adult Beginning Sewing
Ideal class for those who have little or no sewing experience, or who would like to take project-based classes with more confidence.
This class will cover the basics of machine operation, threading the machine, and basic techniques. We also will make a simple project together. This is good place to start if you do not have much experience or haven’t sewn very many projects.
Machines are available to rent for use during class. ($15).
Basic sewing supplies (not including practice swatches or project supplies) needed for class are also available for rent for use during class ($5).
(adult) Continuing Beginners and Intermediate Sewing Class
This class is for those who have taken my Beginner Class (we will pick up where we left off and make sure everything from the previous class was clear to you) or those who have some experience and are confident in operating their machine.
Students can be working on different things in this class, like an open sew style class and more personalized for your needs/interests.
This class will be more about helping each student progress, learn specific techniques that you are interested in learning, or help with a current project.
This class would be good for those who may have a quilt block they would like to learn or master. I also have many projects that students can choose from, projects that introduce a new technique as well as reinforce basic sewing skills.
