Back to School Doll Design Challenge Winners
I’m posting this a bit later than anticipated. I found myself without a camera and still needed to take pictures of the lovely fabric prizes, before shipping them out to the winners. The winners were announced on facebook immediately following the completion of the doll design challenge, so the participants weren’t waiting in suspense. [that would have been too cruel]
The sponsor of this Avery Lane Doll Design Challenge was Robert Kaufman. They sent some lovely fabrics from Sevenberry’s Petite Garden collection. The first set of half yards were awarded to kids who sewed from Sew in Style and entered that challenge just for kids 🙂 You can see those fabrics in this post.
These are the remaining prize fabrics, along with some cute trims and buttons. I was finally able to replace my camera and take some nice photos of these amazing fabrics for the Back to School Doll Design Challenge.
There were so many cute back to school outfits sewn for the challenge. For this challenge, participants could sew from any Doll Days pattern, Avery Lane pattern, or even use a free tutorial found here on the Avery Lane Sewing blog. Each project sewn and shared equaled one entry into the prize drawing at the end.
So many great outfits!! Thank you to everyone who joined in and shared their projects with me. You all helped to make it a huge success. I chose 2 entries using the generator at Random [dot] org to draw 2 winners at random.
Congratulations to Kelly and Terry. One of these beautiful fabric bundles and trims are on the way to live with you 🙂
Thanks again to Robert Kaufman for supplying the fabrics for the prize packages. I know they will soon become adorable doll clothes. I’m looking forward to seeing what the winners create with them.
Happy Sewing!
