Doll Days Skirt Challenge Winners

First, I want to send an enormous thank you to all who participated and helped make the Doll Days Skirt Challenge a great success!

Participants were challenged to use the “Classic Skirt” pattern from Doll Days Sew an Everyday Wardrobe for 18″ Dolls. I was blown away with all the talent and creativity!! One participant was 11 years old and another participant sewed doll clothing for the first time. In all we had 49 skirts entered and they were all amazing!

Members of our sewing group then voted for their top two favorites (not an easy task by any means) and those 2 participants win each a Dear Stella half-yard fabric bundle from their new Fresh Dew collection. A special thanks to Dear Stella for providing the wonderful fabric prizes–they are absolutely perfect for doll duds and have such a soft hand.

A special congratulations to Vicki, our first place winner! Here is her winning entry.

Another special congratulations to Jozel, our second place winner!

10 Doll Days Skirt Challenge — Doll Days! pattern: Classic Skirt View A Jozel added a shorter tier lace and ribbon bows to the scallop hem version for a spectacular result

A third prize was given to a participant chosen at random, using the generator at random.org… a special congratulations to Lynette B. – she’s our 3rd place winner!

Each participant received a free pattern just for entering. They received this Doll Days! Bonus Pattern: the Side Tie Top pattern for 18″ dolls.

Unfortunately, only 3 were able to win the fabric prizes, but there will be plenty of opportunities to win fun prizes this summer. The next challenge will start later this month.
