Doll Days! Doll Sewing Challenges

Doll fashions for all seasons! Get your fabric and trims together and join us for 4 fabulous weeks of sewing. The Doll Days! Design Challenge is being sponsored by Riley Blake and Avery Lane Designs!

Week 1 (Jan.23-29)

Winter Wonderland Challenge, using the Vintage Party Dress

Week 2 (Jan. 30- Feb. 5)

Springtime Garden Party Challenge, using the Modern-vintage Sundress pattern

Week 3 (Feb. 6 – 12)

Summer Day Camp Fun Challenge, using the Modern Camp Shorts and any Doll Days! Top pattern (Your choice of the Button-down Shirts (view A or B),  Crochet Lace Top, Camisole, or Peplum Hem Top patterns–use my tutorial on YouTube to create a sleeveless top with the Crochet Lace Top pattern!)

Week 4 (Feb. 13 – 19)

School Days Challenge, using the Modern Jumper pattern (think Autumn)

There’s not many rules, just use the specified pattern(s) from the book Doll Days! Sew an Everyday Wardrobe for 18″ Dolls to create an outfit to fit the theme each week. Be creative, use trims, add ruffles, ribbons, sashes, and different fabrics to create a special outfit for the season or occasion of that week.

After you sew your outfit:

Post one photo to the special photo album during the challenge week and we will do a poll style voting the following week! The voting will be open for one week. At the end of the voting week,  the 2 designs that get the most votes (1 vote per member) will receive a prize–their choice of a Riley Blake Designs fat quarter and trim package OR 2 PDF patterns.

You can start sewing now. You can share your outfits anytime on our facebook group, your facebook page, instagram, and pinterest!

Winners each week will have a choice of prize. They may choose from the Riley Blake Fabric and Trim Bundles or 2 free PDF patterns from my AveryLane Etsy shop. If a winner chooses the Avery Lane PDF patterns, then the member with the 3rd highest number of votes will win a fabric and trim bundle.

Winners must have a US address to be eligible to win the fabric bundle prizes. In other words, prizes will only be shipped within the US.  However, if you live outside the US and want to play J you could choose to win 2 PDF patterns from my AveryLane Etsy shop.

Please note, all entries must be made using Doll Days! patterns. Any outfit that includes a pattern other than a pattern found in the book Doll Days! will be disqualified and not eligible for any prize.  You may use the bonus patterns, such as the sailor collar or bow patterns from the Doll Days! blog tour created by the author, Erin Hentzel. This is the only exception.
