Route 66 and a New Doll Quilt Pattern
Well I’m off on a road trip again today–this time to the EE Schenck Trends show in Portland. The theme is Route 66 and I have a booth sponsored by C&T that I will be sharing with another author. In my (maybe somewhat lame) attempt to go with the theme, I made a doll quilt using my pattern that I designed back in April/May –just before I signed my second book contract. I had intended to sell the pattern, but had to write a book, then teach a summer full of sewing camps. But it’s finally ready!
Timeless Treasures sent me this gorgeous fabric –Paris themed yay! It screamed to be a doll quilt.
For the booth this weekend, I thought I would make a quilt using my new doll quilt pattern. I have some other ideas for decorating the booth and will share when I get back next week 🙂
Added embroidery to make it fit the theme better.
Happy Friday!
