Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show
We went to Sisters for the Outdoor Quilt show in July and boy did we have fun. My daughter was very excited to go and we made it a special day for just us.
It was kind of a long drive, but well worth it. There were so many beautiful quilts to see and the town is so cute and quaint. Here are some of our favorite quilts we saw.
Log Cabin Quilt with cabins!
There were some very impressive selvage quilts!
This artistic quilt blew us away!! Avery pointed out how the leaves and branches looked like hair, which added to the effect.
Of course we stopped in the Stitchin’ Post.
Avery was very excited to meet Valori Wells. Valori was so personable and shared with Avery about her process for creating fabric from her artwork. This was a major highlight and Avery’s favorite part of our day.
We also met Julie from JayBird Quilts.
There was an avenue just for the guys! All these quilts were sewn by men, and many quilted their own as well.
We had one of the best lunches ever! And the restaurant was all quilty!
serving special drinks just for us quilters.
We spotted some clever Kitty Quilts. Here’s Avery’s favorite 🙂 the kitty FMQ was pretty amazing!
We had the best day ever! We loved our special day together so much that we’re already planning for next year! Avery thinks she might enter a youth quilt-how fun would that be?!
