New Sewing Pattern Released

Yay! I finally got around to doing the final edits 🙂 Ta-dah! (that’s what my Grandma would say–she said that every time I walked through the door, whenever any of her friends or family walked through her front door.)

I’m so happy to have my Gwen dress ready for people to sew. This was in my head and sketched out for a very long time–I love seeing it on our dollies!
It reminds me of the dresses that my daughters would wear- when they were younger-those lush cotton knit Hanna Andersson play dresses with sweater tights and Mary Janes or T-straps. My pattern has a few little extra details – but the inspiration came from those days gone by.
I named this dress Gwen after a little girl I know. Her older sister is a sewing club student, and Gwen is anxious to learn how to sew. Last summer, she wrote me the sweetest note that also had a really pretty picture of a sewing machine ♥ It hangs on my design and inspiration wall by my sewing machine.
I hope you’ll give the Gwen pattern a try soon! I’d love to see your creations. One tester used a stripe and a polka dot fabric to accent the center inset. I thought that was very clever! And very cute!
