random sewing thoughts
The kids are out of school for the day and it’s unusually quiet for having a house full of kids. My daughter is working on her “kitty” quilt and I’m working on a project for a sewing club student. This student wants to make a bag to carry a portable DVD player, so I’m designing a pattern for her. Here’s what’s on the work table.
Love incorporating patchwork where ever I can.
My daughter is sewing the Buttonhole Quilt pattern by Mountain Creek Creations and learned to fussy cut her accent squares 🙂 Just like most things–it takes practice. I think she’s doing very well and she’s having fun with it. She’s using a fat quarter bundle I bought for her while at the quilt market last spring.
It’s so uncharacteristically warm and sunny here in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. 54° F – normally we are in the 30-40 range with the kids hoping for those occasional snow days to come our way. Maybe we’ll go downtown for some Gelato? What’s a crafty girl to do?
