Sew in Style Sewing Camp Week 3
Hi, Sewing Campers! This week was busy for me with teaching local sewing camps from 9 to 5:30 everyday. We had a great time and the kids made a bunch of really amazing projects from drawstring backpacks, crossbody bags, skirts, and library card wallets, not to mention half a dozen headbands! These students inspire me with their enthusiasm and creativity. I taught a mini quilt class for the first time and those quilts all looked fabulous!
Here are some pics from the quilts in progress:
What a great time we had. I think we all, myself included, learned a lot this week. I feel very thankful to have been able to work such great kids all week!
Sew in Style Sewing Camp News
Sew in Style Sewing Camp is still going on as well! Anna H from TN sent in a picture of her messenger bag, being modeled on her doll. Another amazing project, Anna!
It looks awesome! I love the flower embellishment–way to be the designer, Anna! Of course, you will be entered into this week’s prize drawing for a chance to win RJR Fabric bundles and trims 🙂 If you keep this up, you’re going to have a wonderful fabric stash with which to sew for a long while! Thanks so very much for joining in and inspiring us all!
Remember: there’s still time left this week to send me a picture of your Sew in Style projects to be entered into the prize drawing!
Next week, I will share what my local students make from my book as I will be teaching from my book, Sew in Style, all week in sewing camp. I can’t wait to share! Next week’s class is full, but if you live near Eugene, Oregon, there is space in the class there for following week (7/29 – 7/31) I’ll be teaching at the quilt shop, Piece by Piece. Pop over to their website for more info on my mini camps and beginning sewing classes 🙂
Happy Stitching!!
