Week 2 Sewing Camper Projects
This week flew by over here. I’ve been out of town teaching sewing to a great group of kids and helping with 4-H projects at home.
I wasn’t sure I would have any camper projects to post this week, so I had planned to just blog about some 4-H sewing and a recipe I perfected (at least my family thinks I have finally made this dish as tasty as it needs to be in order to make it again) ….but then I received several emails yesterday–Yay!
Anna H has been sewing up a storm and she’s definitely got some mad skills. 🙂
First she made herself a Ribbon and Bead Bracelet (page 59 in Sew in Style book). It’s so pretty!! I love that she did as I suggested in the book to try making one for herself.
Anna has a deal going one with her mom. She sews a beginner project, and then her mom sews a more challenging one. I think her doll is going to love this arrangement. 😉 Here’s the Camisole PJ set that her mom made for Anna’s doll. This project is found in the “It’s a Sleepover” chapter of the Sew in Style book (page 62). I love the bright and cheery trim! Mom’s got some great skills, too! Looks amazing!
Anna continued her sewing journey with a pillowcase and pillow for her doll bed that crafted out of cardboard and duct tape. So crafty and clever! Again, I love that Anna is reading all the tips and suggestions for additional sewing projects that I wrote into the book. Anna you are the sewing star this week for certain!
Here is Anna in action at her sewing machine.
And this is her finished pillowcase. I love the pops of color that Anna added with the fabric markers: Fabricators.
I love her doll bed, too. Isn’t it cute!?
I can’t wait to see what those two super creative ladies make next!! Thank you so much for sending in pictures of those wonderful projects. Anna, you are truly an inspiration to us all <3
I will wait until my bedtime to draw a winner for this week in case we have more campers trying to finish and send in their pictures.
