Felt Flowers
Things have been pretty busy around here, yet no blog posts. I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since my last post. So much going on… new site with a new look (still working on that one), vacations, soccer, music, 4-h fair, and a new job for me, which means an empty classroom to set up for back to school.
My daughter and I have been getting our craft on and I thought I’d share her center piece that she made for her fair entry. Felt flower tutorials are all over the place and they are super easy. She made these and I helped her hot glue them into place.
Started with some strips and circles…
<!–more–> Fold the strips lengthwise and cut a fringe along the folded edge.
Cut the circles into spirals. Cut a straight line or a wavy line–shown here is a wavy line.
Roll them up– make sure to keep edges together.
Use glue (we did the hot glue thing) to keep their shape.
We added a piece of felt and hot glue to wrap and attach each flower around the branches.
What a pretty sight 🙂
