While looking for a tutorial that I had bookmarked a while back, I noticed I have hundreds of bookmarks. Too many to be useful. Near impossible to find the one I needed. So…I started deleting. As I did so, I decided to make a list of the better ones. I’m posting it here and maybe you will find it helpful, too. (I’m still adding and will continue to add new blog posts as I find ones that are inspiring or unique). Some I have tried, others were bookmarked with good intentions of sewing up. Though I am extremely picky and only bookmarked those I was confident would result in a nice garment, please sew at your own risk 😉

My granddaughter, Addilyn just turned 8 years old and I want to teach her how to sew. My grandmother and mother taught me to sew when I was 7-8 years of age so I think she is at the right age. I bought you book Doll Days and we are planning on making clothes for her two dolls she has. She was very excited to see the book and the plans we are making. (Her parents are in the divorce process so our time together short and very precious !)
That’s awesome! Be sure to check out Sew in Style for her to use when getting started. I wrote it specifically for kids to use to learn to sew and designed the patterns especially for kids as well. I’m sure this will be a very special experience for you both. I’d love to see what you two create together 🙂
